The overall objective of the EcoCity is to create a city which is self reliant by creating its own economic, social environmental and physical solutions to problems, , but at the same time is interdependent with the rest of the world. This is achieved by realising that no city is an island, but within itself it can maximise its own strengths and opportunities.
