The Stress of Wedding Party Gifts
As my wedding day draws closer, the stress is beginning to mount. I really thought this was going to be easy. You know, planning the wedding, inviting friends, telling them about my upcoming wedding. But as you might guess, the thought of my wedding and my upcoming marriage is causing me a lot of stress.
One of the points of contention between you and my bride is what to buy for all wedding party. I am talking about wedding gifts, especially bridesmaid gifts and groomsmen gifts. For my groomsman, I was leaning toward party type gifts such as drinking mug, personalized pub signs, and funny dartboards. But my wife to be had other plans. She wanted my groomsman gifts to be more sophisticated as well, have more class. Well, she doesn’t know my friends that will. She is leaning towards gifts like silverplated cufflinks, engraved wine glasses, and poker chips.
While there is nothing wrong with those types of groomsman gifts. She doesn’t know my friends like I do. On the day of my wedding when I present these gifts to them. I would know exactly what will make their faces light up. After since they my closest friends whatever groomsman gifts I give them, they will enjoy and appreciate. But I really do want to buy them wedding gifts that they can find useful, something to remember my wedding by, and above all something they like.
